EBROSITY

Henry David Thoreau believed in Temperance. He disliked “ebrosity.” I don’t like liquor either, but I do get drunk on coffee. Cocaine led me to divorce and caffeine pills make me shake, but coffee is a food. Coffee is a stimulant, it increases my appetite. Sometimes only gateaux can cure me from too much coffee. At other times, I just walk it off. The Indians of the Andean Altoplano chew coca leaves all day long. They have to climb mountains constantly and anyway the air there is already too thin. They have huge chests, diminutive stature. Although, as I say, I dislike liquor, sometime, if you can, try a Pisco Sour. It’s all good or can seem that way when you’re correctly stimulated. I doubt it can be bought outside Peru. Worth a trip.
